On January 21, 2012, the southern Indian Ocean world will be able to witness the occultation of magnitude 3.8 star Mu Sagittarius. This occultation will take place in a utopia of darkness, as the moon will be only 6- illuminated (a waning moon); an ultimately perfect time to view objects in the sky. Mu Sagittarius is a stellar system, meaning it is not alone. There are actually six members which comprise this title; becasue of their great distance, we (with the naked eye) can only discern one, as all six blend together. Location times of occultation can be found at the link at the bottom of this article.
