June 1, 2011: Partial Solar Eclipse UPDATES

[Update 5:16 EDT] The pictures of the eclipse are great! They'll be posted tomorrow. Tromso, Norway's views are great and Bodo's, well there are just too many clouds! The picture is totally black! The eclipse is about almost halfway.

  2. You can start to see Bodo (Norway) after the clouds start to pass away. (Time 5:24). It was covered in clouds, but now the Sun is starting to reappear.

  3. The Sun currently looks like a big crescent moon. The moon is ALMOST to the halfway point (or greatest totality). You can view this amazing shot, here: (copy from here and paste into browser)

  5. Now in Tromso (Norway), the Sun looks like a crescent moon on its side. The greatest point has passed, even though it looks more covered now than before. This has become a great eclipse! Watch:

  6. The Sun is gradually gliding off the Sun's disk now. Although the Sun is mostly covered up, the moon is obviously leaving!

  10. All you need to do is to find a suitable place where there is a steady supply of sunlight to position the solar spotlight and once the sun sets, your garden will glow with lights. solar powered outdoor lights
